STRIPOLOGY QUICKIES | $60        1-DAY CLASS                    

This is a great class for beginners or someone who wants to learn more precise piecing techniques.  You will learn to use the Stripology Square Ruler (available for purchase at Kramer’s), to rotary cut multiple pieces at one time, and how to square your pieced blocks.  The blocks will be joined matching seams and triangle points.  The last step is trimming and squaring your quilt top.

DESIGN – URBAN THREADS’ SHEER ILLUSIONS BUTTERFLY

Meet the unique Urban Threads embroidery design site.  This very exciting design group offers unique choices of larger patterns!   Bring your garment in a color choice that coordinates with your color pallet.  That fabulous color contrast is the magic of your design.  Questions? What To Bring:  A light jacket, cardigan or sweatshirt  corresponding your color with your thread pallet, bring your pattern purchased from Urbanthreads.com downloaded to a USB stick, bobbins wound with bobbin thread and if you wish to use your own color pallet, bring thread.

FREE MOTION QUILTING | $50        2-PART CLASS                BEGINNER

In this two part class we will focus primarily on making sure that every student is able to stipple (meander) since it is the basic skill necessary to branch out into forming all other designs on the machine Once we have worked on this in the first session, you are encouraged to practice at home and return with questions/problems that can be addressed in the second session and also explore more advanced designs.

Supplies. We will be making quilt sandwiches in class:

• 1 yard - solid color quilting weight cotton fabric

• Batting scraps - 18" squares or larger - do not cut them before class.

• Thread - 50wt. - contrasting color to fabric - (be sure there is enough contrast against your fabric so that the stitches can be easily seen.)

• New pkg. sewing machine needles - size 80/12

• Sewing machine

• Free motion / darning foot

• 20 sheets plain white printer paper

• Pen

• 505 Temporary basting spray

Maintenance and Set Up. New owners can attend these classes to learn how to maintain basic functioning and to explore the creative possibilities these remarkable machines provide. 

This series of three Mastery Classes are designed to be taken in order. These classes are complimentary if your machine was purchased at Kramer’s, $50 fee if purchased elsewhere. All classes are limited to 6 students.

A great quilt to learn how to cut and sew simple curves.  Fat quarter friendly.  Vary the size of your quilt by adding or reducing the number of blocks.
